DIY Cheese Wedding Cake

Too daunted by the pressure of baking your own wedding cake! Then why not think about creating your own DIY cheese wedding cake. After all the cheese can be purchased days before and then simply put together on the morning of your wedding.

Not all your guest will have a sweet tooth and a cheese course is a great way to extend the meal.

I saw this cheese wedding cake when I was setting up the brides wedding centrepieces on the morning of the wedding. I think this style of tiered wedding cake is a great idea for a DIY bride that’s not too keen on baking.

What You Will Need For Your Cheese Wedding Cake

All you will need to do is decide on your cheeses and order them from a local supplier well in advance. You will need to have all the heavy hard cheeses such as cheddar, Stilton etc on the lower base tiers. Then stack the lighter softer chesses such as Brie or Camembert on the top tiers.

There is lots of flexibility to choose the cheese you like to create your unique wedding cheese cake. You can also make it to a size that suits the number of guests.

Raffia has also been rapped around the bottom tiers to give that lovely natural country look. I love the heart shaped cheese on the top.

This cheese wedding cake has been placed on a silver wedding cake stand, which really sets it off and helps to give it that professional wedding cake look.

You really will have a unique cutting of the cake photo if you decide to have a cheese wedding cake!
