DIY Wedding Favors – Homemade Chocolates

Making your own DIY wedding favors can add a really personal touch to your wedding decorations. People always enjoy homemade gifts and making your own wedding favors is another reason to get creative.

heart chocolates made as a diy wedding favor project This do it yourself tutorial will help you to make a romantic edible wedding favor. I’ve chosen to create my homemade chocolates in the heart shaped mould but you could do them in any mould to fit with your wedding theme.

You may be surprised how quick and easy these chocolate DIY wedding favors are to make, just don’t eat too many of them before the wedding!

  • A chocolate mould in whichever shape you like.
  • A bar of chocolate I used 60g of dark chocolate.
  • Edible glitter cake decoration to fit with your wedding color theme.
  • A selection of nuts and raisins (optional).
  • A saucepan and a bowl that sits on the top of it.

Sprinkle the edible glitter into the bottom of your chocolate mould. You can also add nuts and raisins into each of the moulds if you want to create fruit and nut chocolates.

Place some water into the bottom of the saucepan, just make sure it doesn’t touch the bowl. Place the bowl on top and brake up the chocolate into small pieces. Gently heat the water and gently melt the chocolate.

Pour the chocolate into the individual sections of the mould.

Rock the mould to release any air bubbles. Then place in a refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

Carefully push each of the chocolates out of the mould.

All you need to do now is decide which boxes to place your chocolates in to make your perfect diy wedding favors.

All you need now are some favor boxes to put them in.
